Tjinder Singh is the British-Punjabi singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist best known as the co-founder and frontman of the indie rock band Cornershop. Formed in 1991, the band became a highly influential fixture of the 1990s UK music scene by fusing traditional Punjabi folk, indie rock, electronic dance music, and alternative rock. Singh's lyrics frequently subvert cultural stereotypes and address political themes, identity, and colonialism.
